Do you have any tips or advice for an aspiring teen actress whose parents don't believe in them?

im really trying to to be a disney channel star i know i have potiental and i don't want to settle for anything less. Its just my family wants to go another route when i know this is what i want to do so help! Do you have any tips or advice for an aspiring teen actress whose parents don't believe in them?
A great deal of actors have potential but the industry is far from fair and most...the majority of those dreams end in failure. Now, this is not a reason enough not to try but you are a teen and Disney is not the end all be all of entertainment, though it is a huge elephant in the room. The business at large however is like a marathon race that will have its peaks and valleys.





As an aspiring teen actress do what you can for now. All the plays that you can do, becoming a member of SAG in whatever area you live in. If you live in a major city like NY or LA you can pursue the business just like any other actor. If not, you will have to wait until post college to pursue but don't worry, the business is not going anywhere. It was here before you, it is here now and will be here in a few years or even long after you've left it.





Out of the many, many shows Disney does, out of all their productions...how many hundreds of kids do they employ? Now how many can you name that made the cross over into adulthood as a working actor or even from one year to the next? While a precious handful do make it, most do not. They fail to adjust or simply get left behind. The Disney appetite is voracious and the ugly unfortunate side of it is that they churn through talent.Do you have any tips or advice for an aspiring teen actress whose parents don't believe in them?
You have to understand most aspiring actors/actresses don't make it, they're probably just don't want you to put in all this hard work and then be let down. If it's something you really want to do, go for it, they'll come around one day or you'll realize why they feel the way they do.
You have to prove yourself to them before you can prove yourself to Disney. If you are unable to convince all those around you, You need experience. Find as much local theater as you can. Get involved. Prove your self.

I have the same problem and I would try to do it by urself that's what i'm going to do. Maybe we can do it together
sit down with your parents and talk to them about this. Tell them that this is your dream and you wanna fulfill it
