Advice for teen in love with photography

Well I'm 15 and unfortunately I don't have money for a digital SLR yet, all i have is my kodak digital camera %26gt;.%26lt;...the pictures come out a bit grainy. Any ideas on how to pursue photography?Advice for teen in love with photography
As was said here look for classes in your high school in photography. Get on the school newspaper and yearbook staff. Also look at night classes and parks and rec programs on photography. Is there a local photo club you can join ? That will let you go to classes at thier meetings and get to know some others in the field. Look for summer and weekend jobs as a photographers assistant or working in a studio. Go to the library and read everything you can find on photography , books magazines etc. Learn Photoshop. any way you can and play with alot. Go to photo exhibitions in your town. Don't worry about what camera you have right now if you like photography it will simply be the first of many and you will no matter how humble a camera it is look back on it fondly. Most of all enjoy the journey.Advice for teen in love with photography
Id have to agree with both of the previous posts, get in ';anything'; to do with photography at your HS classes, yearbook, atc and think about finding local night or weekend classes in your area, look at yahoo groups there might be one in your area for photography. As for your camera, look at some thrift shops see if you can get a cheap slr (non-digital), I always tell new photographers you cant learn to drive a ferrari until you learn to ride a bike. Learn the basics like local length, iso, fstops, shutter speed etc, BEFORE you go into digital so your not letting your camera make all your decisions for you...You can't be a true photographer without knowing the basics of your camera and not just have s DSLR with all the wizz bang features.
If your high school offers a photography class, take it. They'll probably have cameras you can use for assignments-- same with a college course, although you may have to pay a little money for materials.
